I did some tracking on Wednesday with the Copper and it sounded Stellar on the kick drum! I have an Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt which, in my opinion, has above average pre's for an interface. The thing my band and I noticed about the copper right way was how much more life and richness it had compared to the onboard pre's. It was like "wow, holy s***". You would listen to the a snare soloed on the apogee and be like that sounds good! Then you would solo the kick from the copper and realize how sterile and lifeless the apogee really is. It makes me want to stop using the apogee pre's. I am so happy to have a pair now! probably looking at a pair of Lola's next! I feel like I've opened up a whole new world.
